Book Review: The China Mirage, The Hidden History of American Disaster in Asia, by James Bradley (May 3, 2016

The China Mirage, The Hidden History of American Disaster in Asia, by James Bradley (May 3, 2016) provides an expanded companion book on the ideas Bradley expressed in his previous: "The Imperial Cruise: A Secret History of Empire and War." This book deals with the relationships between the Theodore and Franklin Roosevelts' and Japan and China, along with the background of the people like FDR's grandfather, who made millions in the illegal opium trade - at the same time the Queen of England was essentially the largest drug kingpin in the world. It also explains Chiang Kai-shek's China Lobby in D.C. of the 1930's and 40's. The book also draws conclusions about Mao Zedong and the lack of necessity and outcome of US involvement in WWII. Factors of reality in history involves many more factors than Bradley considers in the book.
